IBM Spectrum Protect provides a variety of features that help you control the way data is moved and protected through its life cycle. The various controls, including those specific to storage destinations and policy, are implemented to meet service level agreements for various data types and retention requirements. In this  course, you will learn how IBM Spectrum Protect uses policy to control data movement, retention, and expiration.This course addresses using policy management to customize data retention, such as storage location, how long to retain backup or archive data, and how many backup versions to keep. Also covered are tips for optimizing data storage, data movement, and expiration.
