Content Description

This course describes the activities required to install, implement, and manage the Database Recovery Control (DBRC) component of IBM® Information Management System (IMS™). DBRC is an IMS facility that provides database recovery and facilitates database sharing between IMS systems in all IMS environments including DB/TM, Database Control (DBCTL), and batch.

Objectives

You'll learn about DBRC records and data sharing; database authorization; registering FF, Fast Path, HALDB, and nonrecoverable databases; registering data set groups, data groups, and recovery groups; registering change accumulation groups; and installing DBRC and RECON data sets.
